Hi! this is very interesting, thanks
i do play in an world music ensemble, one of our musicians is an indian classical singer and she uses a tanpura; the reaction of the audience is always “how relaxing” “i felt transported” etc… it is fascinating to learn new approaches of music, using a drone and raga sequence instead of a chord chart

    greetings

this is an interesting cheat sheet on musical theory:

Music Theory for Musicians and Normal People

    by Toby W. Rush

This page includes links to each of the individual Music Theory pages I’ve created in PDF form. This is a work in progress; I am writing new ones regularly and fixing errors and omissions on existing ones as I find them. If you find them useful for your theory studies, you are welcome to use them, and if you find errors or have suggestions, I invite you to contact me. Enjoy!

    Good morning/afternoon/evening!
My name is Lisa Joosten, living in Arnhem in the Netherlands. I work as cultural manager and have been playing harp since childhood and were possible my harp travels with me. Particularly I love playing in ensembles with spanis/latin american musicians.
A couple of weeks ago i decided to enroll in the IHTP online course, it was a sudden revelation to me that this journey would lead me to new dimensions and relationships.
I am enjoying the course materials a lot, taking the information bit by bit as it is too good to rush it. My aim is to be more aware of the power of harp music, spreading joy, hapiness and positive energy. Thanks Christina and mentors for sharing and inviting us!
